The very first thing you should be sure of when purchasing a humidor is the quality of the seal. What is a Calibration Kit?

In short, a calibration kit is used mostly for analog hygrometers and works the same way as the “salt test”. The kit utilizes a relative humidity standard of approximately 75%. The way the kit works is by simply placing the analog hygrometer into the bag of the calibration kit and let it sit for 24 hours. Afterwards, the analog hygrometer will be calibrated and will read properly the humidity level within the humidor.
