| What are some defining features to look for in a humidor? |
|
The very first thing you should be sure of when purchasing a humidor is the quality of the seal. The humidor should have an air-like sound when opening and closing the humidor as telling sign of the quality of the seal. Other options, such as a humidifier and a hygrometer are also common and a telling sign of a well made humidor. All humidors should have a Spanish cedar lining. |
| I filled my humidifier, how long before I do it again? |
| After initially filling your humidifier, you will need to periodically maintain and re-fill the humidifier as needed. For humidors between 0-100 Count, every 30 days should suffice. 51-100 Count humidors with large humidifiers should be refilled every 45 days. 101-2300 Count humidors with larger or multiple humidifiers should be done between 30-45 days or if you find any cigars that may be staring to becoming more stiff to the touch. Be sure to check cigars of your humidor routinely on ALL sides just in case one side of the humidor may be more humidified than the other. |
